You
never know where life will take you if you keep chasing your dreams. I
began my music performance experience as a roadie and assistant sound man
for my wife's band (NO Secret) in the Mid West in 1986. Occasionally, I
would sneak in a quiet background vocal from a mic at the sound board. She
retired a year later, and I joined corporate America. Like all of you, I
sang in my car, the shower, and other discrete places, but let's just say,
I sang with purpose. In the year 2000 I took a dare to sing the National
Anthem in front of a large audience of firefighters and their loved ones
in an airplane hanger. It must have gone fairly well. Two years later I
had the honor of singing for the Govenor and 6,000 firefighters at the
state capitol. In 2005 a co-worker in the firehouse (guitar stud Jerry
Apodaca) asked if I would try a few songs with his band (now us). After a
shakey start with "Born to Be Wild" and a lot of patience from Eric (drum
master) and Roy (bass king), things started to come together. At 45 years
old I was truly and finally joining my first real rock band! "Who'd a
thunk it"! Now, go back to the first sentence, and rock on with BAD IRON

Play(s) drums for 43 years....drumming since age 10. Played in
symphonic band, jazz band, etc. in school and enjoys playing all styles
of music. Grew up in the Bay Area and was exposed to many types of
music due to the diverse styles that were being played at the Fillmore,
Winterland, Keystone (Berkeley) and others. Greatly influenced by bands
such as, Santana, Tower of Power, Journey, John Lee Hooker, Van
Morrison, Montrose and others during that heyday. Still playing
casually with my favorite friends and musicians in addition to my day
job. But we all know that real musicians have day jobs, now don't we? |

Since Roy hasn't done his Bio yet I'm free to make up anything I want!
Roy
is 127 years old and has been playing bass for 126 years. He looks
exactly like "Cheech Marin" and has probably killed just as many brain
cells as Cheech. The truth is Roy is a True Professional. It is a
pleasure having him in this band. I always know he'll be there creating
that elusive "Pocket" we all strive for no matter where I may wander.
Thanks Roy
Here's what Roy finally gave me as his BIO...
"Carbon based humanoid. Lover of rock and rollllllllllll. Bass player"

I've been playing guitar since I was 10 years old...obviously that was
a long time ago. I love everything '80's. I'm a huge hairband fan!
Influences include Van Halen, Ratt, Scorpians, Y & T, Dokken, yes
even Winger! But what list would be complete without mention of
Hendrix, Page, Vaughn and Clapton. You won't hear Mid-Life Crisis doing
many hairband songs but you'll hear the influence in my playing. I've
been in many bands over the years and have learned a lot along the way.
I really enjoy this band, there's a great vibe with these guys. Now if
I could just get Roy to embrace technology and actually use the internet!
